Control systems that run your process.

Automation is where ES Automation started. We design and program PLC control systems, build the panels that house them, and add the instruments that let you see what your plant, pump station or building is doing from anywhere.

What this covers

Control systems

From a single pump to a full line.

  • PLC programming & commissioning
  • HMI & SCADA interfaces
  • Motor control centres (MCC)
  • VSD & soft-starter integration
  • Safety circuits & interlocks
  • Legacy system upgrades

Panel building

Wired, labelled and documented panels.

  • Control & distribution panels
  • Ferruled, numbered wiring
  • As-built schematics supplied
  • Panel refurbishment
  • Site installation & termination

Monitoring & telemetry

Data from your site, wherever you are.

  • Level, flow & pressure instruments
  • Energy monitoring & logging
  • Remote alarms via app or SMS
  • Pump & borehole telemetry
  • Integration with solar & backup power

One team for electrical and control work.

Most contractors either pull cable or write code. We do both, so your changeover logic, pump control, energy management and monitoring are designed together instead of added afterwards.

  • Electrical & automation under one roof

  • Logic documented, not locked in one person's head

  • Panels built to be maintained

  • Support after commissioning, not just a handover

How a typical project runs

  1. Step 1

    Define

A written description of the process: what must happen, when, and what may never happen.

  2. Step 2

    Engineer

I/O schedule, panel design, component selection and control philosophy.

  3. Step 3

    Build

Panel construction, programming and factory testing before site work starts.

  4. Step 4

    Commission

Site installation, loop checks, live commissioning and operator training.

Common questions

Can you take over an existing PLC installation?

Usually, yes. We start with a backup and audit of the current program, document what is running, and only then make changes, so there is always a way back.

Do you do small automation jobs?

Yes. A lot of our work is small: a pump changeover, a tank level control, an irrigation sequence. Small systems get the same engineering care.

Which PLC brands do you work with?

We work across the major brands and match the platform to your site, budget and existing equipment rather than pushing a favourite.
