The people behind the system

About ES Automation

ES Automation started in control engineering: PLCs, panels and process control. We brought that discipline into everyday electrical work. The result is a contractor that designs before it quotes, documents what it builds, and automates the things nobody should have to think about.

Three trades kept meeting on the same job, so we became one company

Most modern installations tell the same story. The solar installer needs an electrician. The electrician needs a controls person for the changeover. The client ends up managing strangers who have never worked together.

We built ES Automation to close that loop. Electrical work, solar and storage, and PLC automation all live under one roof. One survey, one design, one name on the certificate.

You can see the difference in daily use: the inverter, the DB board and the control system are designed together, and everything reports to one screen — yours.

  • A quote should be based on measurements, not guesswork.

  • A good changeover is one you never notice.

  • Neat wiring is safer and easier to maintain.

  • Automation should remove work, not add gadgets.

  • A job is not finished until it is documented.

How we work

Precision

Systems are sized from measurements, installed square, labelled and torqued. Small details decide whether an installation lasts.

Compliance

SANS 10142-1 is the baseline, not a hurdle. Every install is tested and certified before we call it done.

Documentation

Circuit schedules, as-built drawings, program backups and manuals. What we build can be maintained by anyone competent.

Longevity

We choose equipment we are happy to service in ten years, and we answer the phone after handover.

What's next

We're building tools to go with the trucks: an online solar sizing calculator, quoting tools for electricians, and later an online store for the equipment we trust. This website is the foundation for those.
